I would call it Junkware.One way to avoid it, is to order the computer with a Microsoft Operating System CD, and reinstall Windows by reformating the C: drive.

I also highly recommend Revo Uninstaller. It does a much better post-uninstall cleanup than the crapware's uninstaller. Turn Revo loose on your crapware and you'll end up with a much cleaner HDD.
